I looked very quickly at the posts in this board, but didn't see what I was looking for. I caught a Macworld post about the beta instead of it appearing as an update in the app, so I'm a few days behind on this version.
Where do I begin using 2.5? The new version has a different name, so it doesn't simply copy over the old (2.4.x) version. And the stickies in this board indicate there may be some manual adjustments that need to be made. Is there a list of steps I should use to safeguard my existing keychains and preferences and get 2.5 running?
Best regards,
Don Morris

1. Download and install the beta the same as you would any app
2. Launch the new 1Password app - it will use your old keychain to make a new one called 1Password.keychain (it retains the old one too)
3. go to Preferences >> Browsers and do a Remove All and then Install All to update the browser extension
4. Start finding bugs :)
5. Post your findings in this forum (please!) :)

According to Roustem's initial announcement (http://forum.agilewebsolutions.com/viewtopic.php?t=1703), mrtoner, you should first remove 1Passwd. I zapped the application, and just to be safe, I copied my 1Passwd.keychain elsewhere. Then I installed 1Password as usual, like Carl says.
